5 Years Of Rec. Sports





Recreational sports were featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.











     Recreational sports were featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.  Information about several leagues including the MUSL (Michigan United Soccer League), the MPSL (Michigan Premier Soccer League), the Detroit MSBL (Men's Senior Baseball League), the Ann Arbor Rec & Ed adult baseball Summer League, and Eds Hockey were featured on the Mitten State Sports Report.  Scroll down to check out exclusive photographs of some recreational sports leagues in Michigan.

Super Yoopers On CN900

5 Years Of Plymouth Ice





The Plymouth Ice Festival was featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

LTU 4-3 Schoolcraft





Lawrence Tech University defeated Schoolcraft College 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.  Scroll down to see exclusive photos.











     Lawrence Tech University defeated Schoolcraft College 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.  The game was played at the Redford Ice Arena located at 12400 Beech Daly Road, in Redford.  The Lawrence Tech University hockey team competes in the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) Division of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), and the Blue Devils currently have an overall record of 10-10.  Lawrence Tech University also fields an ACHA Division 3 hockey team.

Sunday's game was played at the Redford Ice Arena located at 124000 Beech Daly Road, in Redford.






Lawrence Tech University features two men's ice hockey clubs. 






Schoolcraft College competes in Division 3 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association).






Schoolcraft College currently has an overall record of 11-13-1 (1 overtime loss).






Lawrence Tech University (NAIA team) currently has an overall record of 10-10.

-  #18 Shane Gamrat scored 1 goal, and added 1 assist for LTU on Sunday afternoon.

Pictures of 2017





2017 began with the 35th Annual Plymouth Ice Festival.






We watched the University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team.






We took in a game at Yost Ice Arena.  






Viewers sent in exclusive photographs of live action at Yost Ice Arena.






Yost Ice Arena is located at 1000 S State Street, in Ann Arbor.






We checked out the University of Michigan baseball team in March.  






We also saw the Henry Ford College baseball team play Jackson College.






The Madonna University baseball team was featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in April.






Summer is all about Classic Car Shows.  We went to the VFW Post 345 in Redford.






Blue Sky Ice Cream & Hamburger has an awesome weekly Classic Car Show.






We also checked out the weekly Classic Car Show at St. Robert Bellarmine.






We took in some ARCA Racing at Flat Rock Speedway. 





ARCA Racing returns to Flat Rock Speedway on Saturday, April 28th.






We checked out the Michigan Stars FC (in red) in July.  The Stars defeated Lansing United (in blue)  2-1. 






We went to the Junior League World Series in August.  Chinese Taipei won the 2017 Junior League World Series.






Vintage Base Ball was featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in September.






We attended the 7th Annual Cruisin' Hines.  






We watched the Schoolcraft College Men's soccer team defeat Muskegon Community College 7-0.






The Marian University Knights visited Concordia University.  The Cardinals defeated the Knights 39-36.






The Concordia University football team finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 9-2.






We watched the USA NTDP (National Team Development Program) U-17 Team.






We also checked out the USA NTDP U-18 Team.






Northville Downs featured Virtual Harness Racing.  






We took in a game at the Southfield Ice Arena.  Aquinas College defeated Lawrence Tech University 3-2.






We watched the Schoolcraft College Men's hockey team defeat the Western Michigan University Stallions 11-5.






We went back to Yost Ice Arena in December.

-  Yost Ice Arena was built in 1923.  



-  The Schoolcraft College Men's soccer team advanced to the 2017 NJCAA Division 1 National Championship.



-  The Concordia University football team made it to the 1st round of the 2017 NAIA Football Championship Series.  



-  The USA NTDP is currently in 1st place in the USHL (United States Hockey League) standings with an overall record of 20-9-1 (1 shootout loss).
