| Concordia University has added Men's, and Women's ice hockey to their athletic program. |
Concordia University has added Men's, and Women's ice hockey to their athletic program. Both teams will begin competition in the 2017-2018 season. The NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) is now recognizing ice hockey as a varsity sport, and both teams will join the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference). Concordia University has already hired Ben Kenyon to be the Head Coach of the Men's hockey team. The Cardinals have also hired Maria Barlow to be the Head Coach of the Women's ice hockey team.
