Crawford North Coast Pre-Drinks Photo Shoot 2013

The shoot was held at the Zimbali Lodge, which proved to be an ideal setting, for a shoot of this nature. With there only being 3 couples, we ended up getting more shots of each couple and of their families. This was my first pre-drinks shoot that I was able to shoot with my new camera. I have actually since shot a pre-drinks shoot, also with my latest camera, outside the City Hall, which I am excited to process and upload onto my blog. Big thanks to Daniyala and the gang for hiring me and for being so much fun to work with. You all looked the part! Thanks to Leyton Wilson for assisting me with lighting.

After racking our brains for days, and scouting all over the place for a potential location, we eventually settled with the Virginia Airport. We were given a limited area to work in, but it somehow seemed to work quite well. The hanger doors, when closed, turned into a blue studio backdrop with vertical lines, which add some extra depth and dimension to the shots. Wind generally works against photo shoots, but this day it seemed to add to the shoot, by providing movement and flow in the dresses and hair of the ladies.
