Madonna vs. Davenport





The Madonna University Crusaders recently hosted the Davenport University Panthers for a three game series. 











     The Madonna University Crusaders recently hosted the Davenport University Panthers for a three game series at Ilitch Park, in Livonia.  The Panthers defeated the Crusaders 5-3 on Saturday afternoon in front of a large crowd.  The Crusaders won both games of Sunday's doubleheader by scores of 11-7, and 9-3.  Madonna University, and Davenport University are both NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) programs, and both schools compete against each other in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).  Click on the links below for more information about the NAIA, or the WHAC.      The Madonna University baseball team currently has an overall record of 19-11, and the Crusaders are 12-4 in the WHAC.  The Davenport University baseball team currently has an overall record of 22-12, and the Panthers are 13-5 in the WHAC.  Click on the links below for more information about the Davenport University athletic program, or the Madonna University athletic program.

#6 Ryan Lambrecht got on base for the Crusaders.  Lambrecht is playing in his Senior season for Madonna University.






#15 Jalen Thomas went 4 for 5 with 2 runs, and 3 RBI (Runs batted in). 






#17 Matt Deneau is playing in his Junior season for the Madonna Crusaders.

-  Ted Falkner is the Head Coach of the Madonna University baseball team.  



-  Kevin Tidey is the Head Coach of the Davenport University baseball team.



-  #14 Taylor Grzelakowski has contributed 8 home runs, and 43 RBI (runs batted in) in 30 games for the Crusaders this season.



-  #13 Brandon Larkin-Guilfoyle has contributed 6 home runs, and 21 RBI (runs batted in) in 23 games for the Panthers this season.    



-  The Madonna University baseball team was featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in 2014, and 2015, and 2016.



-  The Madonna University softball team was also featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in 2014, 2015, and 2016.



-  The Davenport University hockey team was featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in 2015, and 2016.
