Finland 5-3 Sweden

On Thursday, February 15th, Finland defeated Sweden 5-3.  It was part of the U-18 Five Nations Tournament. 

 On Thursday, February 15th, Finland defeated Sweden 5-3.  It was all part of the Under 18 Five Nations Tournament that took place at the USA Hockey Arena from February 13th - February 17th.  The U-18 Five Nations Tournament featured USA (3-1), Finland (2-2), Sweden (2-2), Russia (2-2), and the Czech Republic (1-4).  Team USA won the U-18 5 Nations Tournament by defeating Finland 4-0 on Saturday night.

Thursday night's game was played at the USA Hockey Arena located at 14900 Beck Road, in Plymouth. 

Finland finished the U-18 Five Nations Tournament with an overall record of 2-2.

Sweden finished the U-18 Five Nations Tournament with an overall record of 2-2.

#37 Toni Utunen received a two minute minor late in the 3rd period. 

USA won the U-18 Five Nations Tournament by defeating Finland 4-0 on Saturday night.

Cornerstone 103-70 UofM-D

On Wednesday, February 14th, the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles defeated the UofM-D Wolverines 103-70.

     On Wednesday, February 14th, the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles defeated the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines 103-70.  Both schools are NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) programs, and both teams compete against each other in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).  Click on the links below for more information about the NAIA, or the WHAC.
     The Cornerstone University Men's basketball team currently has an overall record of 27-3, but the Golden Eagles have a 19-1 record against WHAC opposition.  The Golden Eagles are currently ranked #1 in the Country according to the latest NAIA Poll.  The University of Michigan Dearborn Men's basketball team currently has an overall record of 18-12, but the Wolverines are 13-7 against WHAC opponents.  Click on the links below for more information about the Cornerstone University athletic program, or the University of Michigan Dearborn athletic program.

-  Cornerstone University began the season 0-2.  The Golden Eagles are 27-1 since their 0-2 start.



-  #23 Michael Bradshaw scored 32 points for the Golden Eagles last Wednesday night.



-  #32 Kyle Steigenga scored 23 points for the Golden Eagles last Wednesday night.



-  #42 Sam Vander Sluis scored 16 points, and grabbed 16 rebounds for the Golden Eagles last Wednesday night.
