Henry Ford vs. Jackson





On Tuesday, March 28th, the Henry Ford College Hawks hosted the Jackson College Jets for a baseball doubleheader. 











     On Tuesday, March 28th, the Henry Ford College Hawks hosted the Jackson College Jets for a baseball doubleheader.  The Jets defeated the Hawks in both 7 inning games by scores of 11-1, and 5-3.  Both games were played at Papp Park located off of Westlake Street, in Taylor.  The Hawks, and Jets are both NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Division II programs, and both schools compete against each other in the Eastern Conference of the MCCAA (Michigan Community College Athletic Association).  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader.  Click on the links below for more information about the NJCAA, or the MCCAA.
     The Jackson College baseball team currently has an overall record 14-5-1, and the Jets are 4-0 in the MCCAA.  The Henry Ford baseball team currently has an overall record of 5-12, and the Hawks are 0-4 in the MCCAA.  Click on the links below for more information about Henry Ford Community College, or the Jackson College athletic program.

#17 Steven Milke warmed up in the bullpen.  Milke is playing in Sophomore season with the HFC Hawks.  





The Henry Ford College Hawks play their home games at Papp Park, in Taylor.






#21 Tyler Kelly was on the hill for the Hawks.  Kelly is playing in his Freshman season for the HFC Hawks.






#28 Adam Freiman got on base for the Jets.  Freiman is playing in his Sophomore season for Jackson College.






#37 Christian Jaworski bats left, and throws left.  Jaworski is playing in his Sophomore season for the Jackson College Jets.

Random Bobblehead Tournament





Scroll down and vote in the Mitten State Sports Report's Random Bobblehead Tournament.  











     There was the Local Wrestling Tournament in 2013, the NBA All-Time Playoffs in 2014, and the Local Car Show Tournament in 2016.  The Mitten State Sports Report is proud to unveil its Random Bobblehead Tournament for 2017.  Eight competitors will face off in a tournament, and your votes will decide who wins. Each, and every round will consist of three days of voting.
     The Steve Yzerman bobblehead was named as the #1 overall seed, and will face the #8 seeded Bobby Higginson bobblehead in the first round.  The winner will advance to the semifinals to face the winner of the #4 vs. #5 matchup.  The Bo Schembechler bobblehead received the #2 overall seed, and will take on the #7 seeded Corliss Williamson bobblehead.  The winner will advance to the semifinals to meet the winner of the #3 vs. #6 matchup.
     The Sparky Anderson bobblehead earned the #3 overall seed, and will face the #6 seeded Jerry Stackhouse bobblehead in the first round.  The winner will advance to the semifinals to take on the winner of the #2 vs. #7 matchup.  The Ernie Harwell bobblehead was given the #4 overall seed, and will face the #5 seeded Ben Wallace bobblehead.  The winner will advance to the semifinals to meet the winner of the #1 vs. #8 matchup.

-  The Steve Yzerman bobblehead bobbles for the least amount of time compared to the rest of the competitors in the tournament.



-  The Bobby Higginson bobblehead bobbles longer than any other bobblehead in the tournament.



-  The Steve Yzerman, and Ernie Harwell bobbleheads are the most realistic looking bobbleheads in the tournament.



-  The Jerry Stackhouse, and Corliss Williamson bobbleheads are the least resembling looking bobbleheads in the tournament.



-  Rhino won the Mitten State Sports Report's Local Wrestling Tournament in 2013.



-  The 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls won the Mitten State Sports Report's All-Time NBA Playoffs in 2014.



-  Blue Sky Ice Cream and Hamburger won the Mitten State Sports Report's Local Car Show Tournament in 2016.
